Towards Solar Energy Civilization Before Climate https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Llursoir9rc Any serious climate change model shows the extreme risks to life, food and habitat were we to continue on current ways of making electricity, heat and transportation by combusting fossil fuels. The question for humanity is if the energy from the sun can become a benign alternative in time. This entails greatly increasing solar energy, including storage. This is a technological and economic issue, and beyond that a civilizational issue. For humanity's history has long been accompanied by making light and warmth by burning oil, coal and gas and the shift to take place will end this. Instead receiving and transforming the energy coming from the sun will mark the solar energy civilization. Humans will have a change in their perception of living on planet Earth. No longer masters of the earth burning its entrails but stewards of the planet gratefully collecting the subtle flow of energy photons arriving on earth. Otherwise carbon budgets will overflow and make the planet uninhabitable http://www.globalcarbonatlas.org/en/CO2-emissions. To enable this shift asks for a conscious cultural change to accompany the scaling up and acceleration of solar energy deployment. It is in this way that citizens of the world can engage in the new civilization. Forerunners are the scientists and technologists creating the solar energy panels, batteries and applications in transportation, heating and power. Underway are changes in the economics and policies of energy, now in a framework of acceleration as the demands of stopping climate change become predominant. 'Accelerating Solar For Decelerating Climate Change In Time', A.Lagaaij https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/8547702/ If the world can embrace a shared vision of this solar energy future, to be presented at the September 2019 United Nations Climate Summit, prepared from SNEC in June 2019 on, all the many actions in the world in the face of climate change can start to converge. This new culture can be consciously called in by affirming its coming and by governments, businesses and citizens aiming for a 100 fold increase in solar energy in a few years. This was prepared already in 2015 the year of COP21 and the Paris Agreement https://www.pv-tech.org/guest-blog/solar_and_the_road_to_cop-21?/guest_blog/solar_and_the_road_to_cop-21
